At about 9 a.m. Stephanie and I met up to walk to the store again to replenish groceries. Even though we vowed to get there early and keep our loads light enough that we could walk back, it was after noon before we were ready to leave and our bags were pretty heavy, so we caved and took the bus. Stephanie still paid for me since I only have bills at this point, but I’m planning to bake her something like I did for Holly to show my appreciation.

Tarun invited me to the memorial service at 2:30, but he was wearing all white and the only white clothes I have with me are a wife beater tank top and two T-shirts, one stained and the other slept in the past two nights. So when I told him I had nothing to wear, I wasn’t exaggerating. I also told him about my meeting at the International Student Centre and his appointment Monday. He laughed and said that even though he looked foreign he wasn’t and he hadn’t a clue who the woman I talked to was. Honestly I was relieved to hear this because I couldn’t see how she could possibly make him feel better.
