I have mixed feelings about the $130 Jungle Tour I went on today. We spent way more time driving than I thought we would, to the point where I got motion sick. It might have been fine if the roads were straight and level and our stops were spaced apart evenly. But instead, the roads are a lot curvier than I am used to and all of the activities we did were on the way to our final destination, so the return trip was two hours nonstop.

On the upside, I did get to pet a kangaroo! I also got more pictures than I could count of a baby joey peeping out of its mother’s pouch at the wildlife habitat. There was also a koala making the weirdest noises, almost as if it was getting ready to puke, but I didn’t take a video because my camera was low on battery. Thankfully, my camera lasted the rest of the day and just finished charging thanks to one of my roommates’ adapter. I was also able to charge my computer with the $40 adapter I found out today only works on Mac products. Even more upsetting is the fact that the internet here incredibly inconvenient and expensive, paving the way for the fastest case of culture shock ever.
