Using my resources

July 28, 2011
I had lectures in my final two classes today: Youth, Identity and Popular Culture and Dynamic Futures: Culture, Environment, and Resources. I found it rather ironic that the latter was my only class that printed off hard copies of the syllabus for everyone, while all the others are just available online in an effort to be less wasteful.

I made the sunflower seed butter myself!

For the first time in three weeks I got to talk to my parents on Skype without losing the connection, which was awesome. The internet here is limited, however, so I’m not sure how often I’ll get to do that. Hopefully our conversations won’t need to be nearly as long anyway if and when I am ever able to withdraw Australian cash.
Lesson 4
>Pronunciation: I say i-dee-uh; Aussies say i-dear.
>Vocabulary: I say trash; Aussies say rubbish.
