This morning Lian, Stephanie, Holly, and I piled into Holly’s friend’s car to go to the Farmers’ Market. It occurred to me that if it goes on through the wintertime it must be year round. Oh, the benefits of living in the tropics... When we got back, I spent the afternoon making brownies (which I shared with the floor and got many compliments on), cornbread, spaghetti, "fettuccine Alfredo,” potato salad, boiled sweet potatoes, and my favourite sauce. I probably would have made more except I ran out of flour and Stephanie messaged me asking if I wanted to go for a walk. Lian came along too but we just circled campus because she had never been all the way around it before.

Since I’ve been vaccinated and no one on my floor has gotten sick, Tarun gave me the rest of a loaf of bread he didn’t want. He is the third person to do this now, so I have probably been given more bread than I have bought! I made peanut butter toast with pineapple and starfruit for dinner when we got back because I didn’t feel like cooking any more. Then I read 25 pages out loud from the book for my Gods, Myths, and Cults class to prove to my RA that my required reading was more boring than his--except the part I read to Tarun and Lian when they came into my room around 10 p.m., at which point I was very glad I had shoved the pile of clothes on my floor to the side. I never thought living in a dorm could be this much fun!
